Mask Bloc 631 Long Island is a small mutual aid group created in 2024. We are a grassroots collective of New Yorkers dedicated to distributing free respirators to protect our community from the ongoing Sars-CoV-2 pandemic. We strive to fight the deliberate erasure of COVID from the public narrative through mutual aid, community education, safer socializing, and local activism.

Where to get masks

We are working to get masks into local libraries, food pantries, and other easily, publicly accessible locations for pickups.We post locations where we drop off masks on Instagram and Twitter.Our request form is coming soon!

How to join

We have temporarily paused, but if in the future you would like to get more involved, please fill out our new member interest form.
Feel free to drop off respirators to little free libraries near you, message us, and we can post the location on our page.

Nassau County Legislature on Long Island, NY is considering a mask ban bill. Nassau County Legislature does not post bills on their website. The bill could mean jail time and $1,000 fines for people who wear face masks that hide identity.The mask ban bill goes to the full session of the 19-member legislature for consideration on August 5th, 2024.
